“My favourite class is Barre. I love it! It has really toned up my body and I can see the definition. Plus, I never thought this was important until I got older (I’m 50!), but I also FEEL strong!

Although I’m not really a ‘jumping around’ kind of person, I do do some of the HIIT and Strength & cardio classes as well, but I mostly love how Barre really challenges me on so many fronts.

I love the variety of classes at Connect Fitness – they are all different and even the instructors vary their own classes all the time, so I’m never bored.  Mentally, the routine and discipline have been so important for me, especially during lockdown and I always look forward to the classes – and even more to those words ‘Second to last thing’…!!”

“My favourite class? Hmm, that’s a tricky one! They all offer something different and I like the different challenges that the variety of classes provide. I love both the Low Impact Strength and Strength & Cardio classes. If I had to choose one, I’d say Sunday’s Strength and Cardio, purely because I find it the most challenging one for me, so there is always a sense of achievement at the end of the class.”

Enthusiastic, friendly, welcoming and very competent. That’s how I’d describe the Connect Fitness team, whom I’ve known for several years as instructors. I normally attend cardio and strength-based classes and always come out of each feeling that I’ve worked hard and achieved something. The classes are never the same, with exercises targeting a range of muscle groups and designed to get you out of your comfort zone. The instructors always ask if there are any injuries they need to be aware of, and offer options on exercises accordingly. This is not something that happens at many places and attests to the competence and professionalism of the instructors.  

It’s great to have such a lovely team offering these classes locally and online. Give it a try – you’ll see and feel the benefits in a couple of weeks.

I love Connect Fitness Studio classes because every class is different, and I notice progress each time I go. The five instructors all bring something different to the table; keeping the classes varied, fun and encouraging in a format that suits every level. What I also love is their personal approach to all clients, being mindful of pre-existing injuries and niggles, always with an alternative move up their sleeve. The Connect Fitness classes feel more like PT sessions with friends, and it has become something that I look forward to every week.

I joined the classes online during lockdown. Having struggled to find a class that I really liked I immediately connected with these lovely and extremely well run classes. I not only noticed a general tightening and strengthening I found the mind body connection something to really look forward to during lockdown. It was an hour for me and I still find switches off my thoughts from all the things I have to do to the mechanics of the exercises. I felt very much part of a community of lovely women and I felt in extremely safe hands. The classes are very well taught from targeting specific areas to thorough and releasing stretches. Excellent teaching and I always feel that we are being kept an eye on to make sure we do the exercises properly. I have now joined the outside class which I love. But I know that if I am working away I can log on and keep myself in shape.
